Miscellaneous

I haven’t posted in a while because I got stuck. The writing tasks I had been using from Room to Write became more complicated and required too much thought. Thought that didn’t come easily for me. I pittered with two pieces, but they were weird and got me nowhere. I searched through some past drafts for inspiration. Two that caught my eye were the If, Then statements and Fireworks. I’m going with the If, Then statements because they’re fun and logical, and they might be something you’d like to try. Here are some of mine:

If the photographer is at the house, it will finally become available for renters.

If I do laundry today, I must wait for my husband to shower first.

If the black cat lays on the carpet in a black patch, he might get stepped on.

If it is a nice day, I will read on the porch.

If democrats don’t get their shit together, Republicans will win the 2022 elections.

If I don’t watch what I eat, I will become heavier.

If my sisters and I talk tonight, I will be caught up in their day to day lives.

If we have steaks tonight, then I’ll drink red wine.

If I finish my young adult novel today, then I will start My First 30 Years.

If Dad’s guitar is finished, then I will drive down S. Lamar.

If I clean the bathrooms and kitchen or the hard floor areas, then I can bask in a clean house.

  1. I’ll have to keep the if-then format in my back pocket when I get stuck for a slicing topic.
I hope the day turned out nice so you could read on the porch.
What is Room to Write? I have never heard of it.
